About Me: Rediscovering Life, One Adventure at a Time
Welcome to Second Bloom – Journey to Rediscovery of Life and Purpose. I’m Elli—a 46-year-old breast cancer survivor, a former corporate leader, and now, an explorer of life, joy, and purpose.
For years, I did what many of us are taught to do: I climbed the corporate ladder, reached heights that once seemed impossible, and built a life that looked perfect on the outside. But something was missing. When I faced breast cancer, the fragility of life became clearer than ever, and I found myself asking, “Is this all there is?”
The answer led me here—to a crossroads where I decided to choose myself. I quit the job that defined me for so long, sold most of my possessions, and set out to discover what joy means beyond the boardroom, beyond the endless to-do lists, and beyond the expectations of others. I chose to embrace the unknown and uncover a more intentional, vibrant way of living.
Second Bloom is my story of rediscovery. It’s about stepping away from the expected and embracing the freedom to find who I am beyond titles, accomplishments, and the roles we’re assigned. Through this blog, I hope to inspire you to think about your own journey—whether it’s a small shift toward something that lights you up, or a bold leap into the life you’ve always dreamed of.
I want this space to be a gentle nudge, a spark of courage, and a reminder that you are worthy of joy, adventure, and whatever it is that makes your soul come alive.
You’ll find my personal reflections here—raw moments, honest lessons, and the highs and lows of finding myself again. I’ll share my photography, capturing the beauty of places and moments that remind me why life is worth living fully. And I’m creating a “Getting Started Guide” to help others like me, who want to change their story, find a starting point. I’ll share not just the steps that worked, but also the missteps I took and the lessons they taught me.
If you’re here, I hope you’ll find comfort in knowing that it’s never too late to change direction, to bloom again, to find joy where you least expect it. Together, let’s discover what it means to live intentionally, to find purpose beyond our careers, and to cherish the adventure of just being.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to see where it takes us.
Warmly,
Elli
