In the halls of silence, her footsteps ring,
A soundless echo, a hollowed thing.
Her shadow stretches, frail and thin,
A fragile reminder of where she’s been.
The void beckons, an alluring call,
Promising freedom in its eternal sprawl.
But freedom bears chains, unseen, untold,
Binding her heart in a grip ice-cold.
She whispers to darkness, seeking reply,
But the void responds with an empty sigh.
Her questions dissolve in the consuming black,
Yet she moves forward, never looking back.
Each step taken, a battle she wins,
Defying the void that dwells within.
Her shadow may linger, her echo may fade,
But her courage endures, unafraid.
